Basic Visual Review of Building

This service provides a construction-stage visual review of a new home to assess visible building envelope, air barrier, insulation, or general building performance conditions. Observations will be made from the ground, from a deck or from inside the home unless specific access to other areas of the building are provided by the client.

How We Perform the Work:
We attend site and review accessible areas based on the current stage of construction. The review focuses on visible installation quality and consistency with expected building performance practices.

Scope of Work Includes:

• Site review of accessible construction areas.
• Review of envelope assemblies, penetrations, transitions, and installation quality.
• Identification of visible deficiencies or incomplete work.
• Photo documentation, where applicable.
• Verbal or written summary for the builder or project team.
• Recommendations for correction before concealment.

Following the review, a summary report will be generated that includes recommendations where necessary. It is important to note that this review typically does not include blower door testing, infrared testing, moisture testing, smoke testing, or destructive testing.
