EnerGuide E Evaluation

$295.00

Always $275, regardless of size. The only
exception is when extensive renos have
been done that affect volume and require
re-measuring. Then the D price will apply

This service provides an EnerGuide evaluation based on completed or confirmed building conditions. It reflects the final or as-built performance of the home.

How We Perform the Work:
We update the energy model using final construction details, installed equipment, confirmed envelope assemblies, and blower door testing results where required.

Scope of Work Includes:

  • Review of final construction information.
  • Confirmation of installed mechanical systems and envelope details.
  • Incorporation of blower door testing results, where applicable.
  • Final update of the EnerGuide model.
  • Preparation of final EnerGuide documentation or summary.
  • Identification of differences between proposed and final performance.

What’s Included

Blower Door Airtightness Test
A blower door test is performed to measure how much air leaks through the building envelope. The test depressurizes the home using a calibrated fan, allowing us to pinpoint leakage pathways.
Testing follows NRCan and CGSB standards. Because EnerGuide requires an “as-operated” test, guarded blower door testing is not permitted; as a result, shared or party walls cannot be isolated or evaluated with precision.

Official EnerGuide Rating & Report
Your final report includes an official EnerGuide rating, presented in gigajoules (GJ) per year and normalized energy intensity (GJ/m² or GJ/ft²). These metrics give a clear, standardized measure of your home’s performance and make it easy to compare efficiency across different homes and designs.
