This service reviews historical utility bills to better understand energy use, cost trends, demand patterns, and potential billing or consumption anomalies.

How We Perform the Work:
We organize and review available utility data, including electricity, natural gas, water, or other relevant bills. Consumption and cost trends are assessed to identify irregularities, seasonal changes, and possible opportunities for savings.

Scope of Work Includes:

  • Collection and review of available utility bills.
  • Summary of energy consumption and cost trends.
  • Review of demand charges or rate structure, where applicable.
  • Identification of unusual usage patterns or billing anomalies.
  • High-level commentary on potential energy-saving opportunities.
  • Preparation of a summary table or written overview.

Our utility bill review service encompasses a comprehensive assessment that involves scrutinizing historical data, when available, to ascertain the overall energy consumption as well as per unit area normalized values. We specifically focus on three key utilities: water, electricity, and natural gas. Ideally, we prefer to have access to two years' worth of historical data, tenant profiles, and usage patterns, including typical schedules.

Our review is designed to offer an in-depth analysis of past consumption, comparing it to pertinent weather patterns. This includes, but is not limited to, factors such as heating degree days, rainfall, and typical temperature profiles. Once we've completed this analysis, we evaluate current utility rates and explore various options. Our utility review service also provides a detailed comparison of different utility providers and their available plans.
