Window Testing – ASTM E1105 Water Penetration Testing

This service provides field testing of installed windows, doors, and similar exterior assemblies to evaluate resistance to water penetration. It is commonly used for quality assurance, deficiency investigations, warranty review, and commissioning support.

How We Perform the Work:
We attend site and test selected installed assemblies using the ASTM E1105 field testing procedure. Controlled water spray and static air pressure are applied to simulate weather exposure conditions and assess whether water penetration occurs through the assembly or installation interfaces.

Scope of Work Includes:

• Review of the assemblies and locations selected for testing.
• Confirmation of test objectives, test pressures, and site conditions.
• Setup of required test equipment, including spray rack, chamber, and pressure measurement tools.
• ASTM E1105 water penetration testing of selected installed assemblies.
• Observation and documentation of water penetration, leakage paths, or installation-related concerns.
• Photo documentation of test setup, locations, and findings.
• Summary report outlining procedures, conditions, results, and recommendations.
